NRSWA Cat & Genny Course in Buckinghamshire

Learning how to use a Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) with a Genny 4 Signal Generator is part of a streetworks operative’s fundamental training. Without the ability to detect and avoid underground utilities, streetworks gangs across the United Kingdom would be unable to perform their duties safely and effectively. For trainee operatives in this part of the country, our NRSWA Cat & Genny Course in Buckinghamshire covers all the essential knowledge you need to operate cable locators (cable avoidance tools) and Genny 4 Signal Generators on local streetworks sites. For both new operatives and those in need of a refresher, it is the perfect course.

Whether you are enrolling as an individual or you will be enrolled as part of a group booking for your company, you can look forward to spending the day with an experienced instructor/assessor before taking your timed, multiple-choice examination. There will also be practical assessments throughout the day, to ensure that every attendee learns the key skills needed to perform their duties on-site. By the time you have completed the course, you will know how to use a CAT and Genny 4 Signal Generator, how to interpret site plans when starting new excavations and how to maintain your cable locating equipment.
Although the course is primarily designed to cater to new inductees, it is also suitable for supervisors, site managers and experienced operatives who are perhaps moving into streetworks positions from other company divisions. If you are not sure whether it is the right course for you or your workers to take, please do not hesitate to contact us for assistance. A member of our team will be happy to explain all the training options we have available and help you to find a course that is perfect for your needs.
