Previously referred to as the Streetworks Unit 1 course, this course is suitable for both supervisors and operators involved in Leicester street works. Our NRSWA Cat & Genny Course in Leicester is a 1-day course that can be taken on a weekday or at the weekend, with training provided in groups at your local site.
The training will teach every participant how to safely avoid underground electrical cables, fibre optic communications cables, gas pipes, water mains and other underground apparatus.
As mentioned above, this NRSWA course consists of both classroom-based and practical instruction, and is designed to ensure that every participant is able to quickly grasp the essential knowledge they need. At the end of the course, each attendee is required to complete assessments and a timed online examination.
All participants are awarded nationally recognised certification ( from either CABWI, SQA, Lantra or City and Guilds) after successfully completing the course. They will also be entered on the Street Works Qualifications Register (SWQR) and issued with a SWQR ID card. Both the certification and ID card will be valid for a period of 5 years from the date they are issued.

The NRSWA Streetworks Unit LA is specifically for those who need to located underground apparatus whilst working on the UK roads and highways. It is a key unit which you need if you intend to qualify in any of the Streetworks excavation and reinstatement units.
