Upon successful completion of the Operative Streetworks course, you will be able to pursue work with any private construction company or public utility that engages in construction work on single or dual carriageways in the UK with speed limits up to 60 mph. Without such certification your prospects of working on roadways in the UK are, for all intents and purposes, non-existent.
Once a candidate has successfully completed the NRSWA Operative Streetworks course in Loughborough they will be officially certified by a recognised awarding body such as the Certification and Assessment Board for the Water Industry (CABWI), City & Guilds or Lantra. The certificate will be valid for 5 years from the date it is issued and will indicate all Streetworks units which you are qualified for. In addition, your name will be entered into the Streetworks Qualification Register or SWQR.
