The NRSWA Unit 01 Streetworks course in Loughborough is a 1-day course divided into morning and afternoon sessions. As a general rule, the morning session covers theoretical issues related to working around underground services, while the afternoon session provides an opportunity for candidates to get some hands-on experience handling relevant equipment such as the CAT.
At the end of the course, participants will need to take and pass a short exam testing their retention of the information imparted during the day. The test comprises 20 multiple-choice questions and you must answer at least 16 of the 20 (80%) correctly in order to obtain certification. Certification will be issued by City & Guilds, Lantra, the CABWI or other authorised body and be valid for 5 years.

The NRSWA Streetworks Unit LA is specifically for those who need to located underground apparatus whilst working on the UK roads and highways. It is a key unit which you need if you intend to qualify in any of the Streetworks excavation and reinstatement units.
