For all signing, lighting and guarding street works operatives that wish to move into a supervisory capacity, our NRSWA Unit S1 Streetworks Course in Leicester provides the best path to obtain the necessary qualifications. Upon successful completion of this 1-day course, participants are awarded a certificate from CABWI, SQA, Lantra or City and Guilds, together with an SWQR ID card. Valid for a period of 5 years, this certification and ID card combination will enable successful participants to monitor and supervise signing, guarding and lighting for temporary street works in Leicester and other parts of the country.
Each course is normally delivered to a group of trainees, at a site chosen by the employer. The course, as mentioned above, is only 1 day in duration but covers all of the essential knowledge needed to perform supervisory duties for signing, lighting and guarding in accordance with NRSWA regulations and recommended best practices.
Once the instruction has been completed, which consists of both practical and classroom-based learning, participants are required to take a short online exam that consists of multiple-choice questions. In order to pass, a score of 80% or higher needs to be attained.

The NRSWA Streetworks Unit LA is specifically for those who need to located underground apparatus whilst working on the UK roads and highways. It is a key unit which you need if you intend to qualify in any of the Streetworks excavation and reinstatement units.
