The goal of the NRSWA Supervisor London course is to provide Supervisors with the certification they need to carry out their duties in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act of 1991. Upon successful completion of the course, Supervisors will have the knowledge and skills to effectively safeguard themselves, their fellow workers, others that access or transit the work site and members of the surrounding community.
Who is the course for
It is vital that those responsible for excavation and reinstatement work on public highways are able to ensure their own safety and the safety of those around them. The NRSWA provides clear guidelines for accomplishing that and our Supervisor London training course enables Supervisors to obtain the necessary knowledge and skills.
The full 5 day NRSWA supervisor course in London is for anyone supervising all works on the road, including excavation, backfill, reinstatement and signing and guarding. A streetworks supervisor plans, monitors and supervises the works and the operatives. The supervisor does not undertake any physical works.
Delivery
The course is delivered through a combination of classroom learning and practical activities at the NRSWA London centre over 5 days. You will then be required to complete assessments and a short online exam for each unit.
Outcome
After successful completion of the course you will be awarded a certificate from the awarding body, from one of the following; CABWI, SQA, Lantra or City and Guilds. You will then be registered on the Street Works Qualifications Register (SWQR), and you will receive your own SWQR ID card.
