NRSWA Operative Streetworks Course in Maidenhead

If you hope to obtain employment working on local authority roads in the UK you must have the necessary certification. Our NRSWA Operative Streetworks Course in Maidenhead is how you obtain that certification. Upon successful completion of this course, you will have the knowledge and skills necessary to secure a position as a Streetworks Operative at any construction company or public authority that conducts work on the local authority roads in the UK.

NRSWA Operative Streetworks Course in Maidenhead Overview

In 1991 the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) came into effect establishing standards for those tasked with building, maintaining and repairing UK roads. After successfully completing the course you will have the knowledge to work as an Operative on any single or dual carriageway with speed limits not to exceed 60 miles per hour (or 50 mph on dual carriageway).

This is a 5-day course that requires a high level of commitment from the participant. Over the course of the 5 days, you will learn Signing, Lighting & Guarding (SLG) techniques and procedures, the proper way to reinstate backfill materials and modular surfaces, how to conduct excavations in a safe and professional manner and much more.

Delivery

Our instructors are some of the most experienced in the business and are well-known for their patience and thoroughness when imparting this important information. Most have hands-on experience performing UK roadworks and understand to their core the importance of internalising the lessons contained in this 5-day NRSWA Operative Streetworks Course in Maidenhead.

For each unit participants will be required to take and pass a short exam comprising 20 multiple choice questions intended to gauge their understanding of the materials presented during the course. It will be necessary to answer 16 of 20 questions correctly in order to pass the unit and receive Operative certification. Certification will be provided by either CABWI, SQA, Lantra or City & Guilds and be valid for 5 years from the date of issue.
