The NRSWA CAT and Genny Course in Maidenhead is intended to provide Supervisors and Operatives engaged in streetworks the knowledge they need to avoid underground services while performing their jobs. With this knowledge, the participant will enhance their skillset whilst ensuring safe operations in the here and now.

Objectives
Upon successful conclusion of the CAT & Genny Course in Maidenhead, participants will have the skills necessary to:

The NRSWA CAT and Genny Course in Maidenhead takes place over the course of a single day. Instruction is provided in a classroom setting with a variety of practical lessons using actual equipment included.
The theoretical aspects of the course will be delivered first with participants encouraged to ask questions to ensure they are absorbing the information. Following a short break, the practical component of the course will convene, but this time with equipment and mockups that can be used to provide a hands-on experience.
Near the end of the day, an exam will be given comprising 20 multiple-choice questions related to the information imparted during the day. Participants will need to get at least 16 of 20 answers correct in order to receive their CAT & Genny Certificate and SWQR card. The certificate and card will be valid for 5 years..
