Combination of Classroom-Based and Practical Instruction – Throughout the course, a combination of classroom-based teaching and practical instruction is used. Nationally Recognised Certification Awarded on Successful Completion of the Course – For every attendee who successfully passes all units, nationally recognised certification is awarded. This may be from CABWI, SQA, Lantra or City and Guilds. This certification, in common with the ID card mentioned below, is valid for a period of 5 years after the date of issue.

New SWQR ID Card Issued on Completion, With Details of Certification Achieved – At the end of the course, together with all the relevant certification, each successful participant can expect to receive their new SWQR ID card, which will include details of the certification that they are being awarded.

  • S1 (10) – Monitoring, signing, lighting and guarding
  • S2 (11) – Monitoring excavation in the highway
  • S3 (12) – Monitoring reinstatement & compaction of backfill layer
  • S4 (13) – Monitoring reinstatement of sub and road base in non bituminous material
  • S5 (14) – Monitoring reinstatement of bituminous materials 
  • S7 (16) – Monitoring reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways
 
Those who successfully complete the NRSWA Supervisor Streetworks Course in Derby will receive certification from Cabwi, City & Guilds, SQA, Lantra or another licensed certification body.
