NRSWA Supervisor Streetworks Course Belper

Streetworks supervisors play a key role in maintaining safety and order on roadworks jobsites. But if they are to do their job effectively, they need to know what everyone else on the site is supposed to be doing. The NRSWA Supervisor Streetworks Course in Belper is where you receive the training and certification to do this important job well. This course is intended for supervisors only. Meaning if you perform any degree of manual labour on a jobsite, it is not for you because you are an operative.

If your job is to oversee the work of others, how can you do that effectively if you don't know what they should be doing? The answer is, you can't. And that's where the NRSWA Supervisor Streetworks Course in Belper comes in. This course will provide supervisors with a thorough understanding of exactly what others should be doing and how they should be doing it. With this knowledge, you can ensure your job proceeds safely and on schedule.
As you may have surmised, the NRSWA Supervisor Streetworks Course in Belper imparts a lot of information. For that reason, the course unfolds over 5 days, rather than the standard 1 day for NRSWA courses.

Each of the 5 days explores the duties and responsibilities of a different group of operatives. Our highly-experienced instructors will make sure that no one falls behind by performing regular assessments of each person's work.

At the end of the 5th day, the instructor will administer a multiple-choice exam. You must answer 80% of the questions correctly in order to receive certification. That certification will be awarded by one of the following licensing bodies:

  • Lantra
  • City & Guilds
  • CABWI (Certification and Assessment Board for the Water Industry)
  • SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority)
Certification will be valid for 5 years from the date of issue.
At the end of the 5th day, participants must take a multiple-choice exam and score at least 80% to earn certification from Lantra, City & Guilds, the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA), or the Certification and Assessment Board for the Water Industry (CABWI). If you fail, you may retake the course after 48 hours, but you will need to re-register and pay the fee again.

No, there would need to be a streetworks operative on the site carrying out the physical work.

There are no beginner units. Each unit delivers something different. If you have no experience, there are books you can read prior to a course or if you can get some practical work experience with a company that would benefit you greatly.

If you require supervisor units - while the operative units are not compulsory – gaining the operatives units first and doing the physical works can be of help.
