The morning session will cover the theoretical aspects of SLG work (why things are done the way they are). While the afternoon session will provide a chance for the participants to obtain hands-on experience setting up SLG equipment on a mock jobsite.
At the end of the day's instruction, there will be a multiple-choice exam comprising 20 questions. In order to obtain NRSWA Unit S1 certification you must answer at least 80% of the questions correctly. For those who pass the test certification will be awarded by either Lantra, City & Guilds, SQA or the CABWI and be valid for 5 years from the date of issue.

The NRSWA Streetworks Unit LA is specifically for those who need to located underground apparatus whilst working on the UK roads and highways. It is a key unit which you need if you intend to qualify in any of the Streetworks excavation and reinstatement units.
