5-Day NRSWA Operative Course
Our full NRSWA Operative course covers key physical Streetworks activities including locating underground apparatus, signing, lighting and guarding, excavation, backfilling and reinstatement. 5-Day NRSWA Supervisor Course
The NRSWA Supervisor course is for employees responsible for supervising and monitoring Streetworks activities. Companies can arrange dedicated training for supervisors who oversee operatives, excavation, reinstatement and other Streetworks activities.
Unit LA – Cat & Genny
Unit LA provides training in locating and avoiding underground apparatus. It can be arranged for groups of employees whose work involves excavation or working in areas where underground utilities and services may be present.
Unit O1 – Signing, Lighting & Guarding
Unit O1 is for operatives responsible for setting out and maintaining signs, cones, barriers and other signing, lighting and guarding arrangements associated with Streetworks.
Unit S1 – Monitoring Signing, Lighting & Guarding
Unit S1 is for supervisors responsible for monitoring signing, lighting and guarding arrangements. Group training can be arranged where several supervisors require this qualification.
NRSWA Reassessment
If several employees have Streetworks qualifications approaching their five-year expiry date, we can also help arrange NRSWA reassessment training for your workforce.

Yes. Unit LA (previously known as unit 1) is for both Streetworks operatives and supervisors working on the roads, they do not require a separate qualification.
The NRSWA Streetworks Unit LA is specifically for those who need to located underground apparatus whilst working on the UK roads and highways. It is a key unit which you need if you intend to qualify in any of the Streetworks excavation and reinstatement units.
If you are not working on the roads you may require the EUSR qualification, or an in-house certification. If you are not sure please drop us a call 0333 301 0226.
