Any candidate who successfully completes the Operative Streetworks course will obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to perform work on any UK single or dual carriageway with speed limits up to 60 mph. As such they will satisfy the knowledge and skill mandates established for Operatives by the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) of 1991.
After successfully completing the NRSWA Operative Streetworks course in Merton each participant will receive a certificate from CABWI (Certification and Assessment Board for the Water Industry), Lantra, City and Guilds, or SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority). The certificate will be valid for 5 years from the date of issue. The certificate will also indicate the NRSWA units you qualify for. In addition, your name will be entered onto the Street Works Qualification Register.
