What to do Should You Fail the Exam

Those who successfully pass the Operative Streetworks Course will receive certification from one of the following officially licensed bodies:
- City & Guilds
- The Certification and Assessment Board for the Water Industry (CABWI)
- The Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA)
- Lantra.
Certification is valid for 5 years from the date of issue.
The NRSWA Operative Streetworks Course is a 1-day course comprising morning and afternoon sessions. The morning session will focus on the various theoretical aspects of the work, while the afternoon session will introduce participants to a replica of a typical road jobsite and present various scenarios demonstrating the principles discussed earlier. At the end of the day, our instructor will administer a multiple-choice exam comprising 20 questions. Participants must answer at least 80% of the questions correctly to earn certification.
If for some reason a person should fail the multiple choice exam it is not the end of the line. They have the option of taking the course over to attempt to gain certification. There are a couple of stipulations, however. The first is that the person must wait at least 48 hours from the time they are notified that they failed to re-register for the course. And the second is that they will need to pay the course registration fee again.
