This piece of legislation stipulated that everyone performing work on UK roads needed to be trained and certified, and provided a mechanism for obtaining that certification. Almost 35 years later the success of the NRSWA programme is undeniable with accidents on road construction sites greatly reduced and the quality of work at an all-time high.
The NRSWA Operative Streetworks course in Wandsworth is a 1-day course comprising morning and afternoon sessions. The course covers best practices and guidelines for working on roadways with an emphasis on SLG (signing, lighting, guarding), excavation, reinstatement and more.
At the end of the day, there will be a multiple-choice exam comprising 20 questions. You must answer at least 16 of the 20 correctly. If you do certification will be issued by:
