In the past construction companies were free to hire who they wanted, regardless of their qualifications. The New Roads and Streetworks Act of 1991 changed all that. That legislation mandated certain minimum competencies for anyone working on UK roadways, while providing a mechanism for training and certification. That mechanism is the NRSWA course.
The NRSWA Supervisor Streetworks Course near Hounslow is for anyone employed by a private construction company or public entity whose job it is to supervise road work, as long as their responsibilities do not include any type of manual labour. The course unfolds over 5 days, is led by our highly experienced instructors and covers all aspects of the supervisor's job as well as relevant laws and regulations the supervisor must be aware of.
At the end of the 5-day course, there will be a multiple choice exam designed to review the material covered and to test your retention of the information. In order to receive certification you must answer 80% of the questions on the exam correctly.
If, for some reason, you fail the test it is not the end of the line. You have the option of taking the course again though you will need to pay the registration fee again and you will need to wait at least 48 hours after failing to re-register.
