The NRSWA Unit S1 Streetworks Course near Hounslow will take place over the course of a single day with morning and afternoon sessions and a lunch break in between. The morning session will cover the technical and theoretical aspects of SLG work. The afternoon session will include an opportunity for participants to gain hands-on experience with the relevant equipment on a mock jobsite.
At the end of the afternoon session, there will be a multiple-choice exam aimed at testing participant's retention of the information imparted during the day. The exam will consist of 20 questions of which at least 16 must be answered correctly to obtain certification. That certification will be awarded by one of the following licensing bodies:

- Lantra
- Or the SQA
Certification will be valid for 5 years from the date of issue.

The NRSWA Streetworks Unit LA is specifically for those who need to located underground apparatus whilst working on the UK roads and highways. It is a key unit which you need if you intend to qualify in any of the Streetworks excavation and reinstatement units.
